On February 12 and March 19, Chagrin Falls Schools hosted a vaccination clinic for school employees from districts in Geauga County.

Many teachers expressed how grateful they felt at the opportunity to receive their vaccination.

Mrs. Mandy Marlo, 5th-grade language arts teacher, said she “want[s] to do [her] part.” She also said that she is not nervous and hopes she does not get any symptoms.

Fifth-grade science and social studies teacher Mrs. Cory McNamara was nervous but also very excited. She stated that, “I simply want to keep me, my family, and my students safe.”

Like Marlo and McNamara, Mr. Patrick McArthur, 5th-grade social studies teacher, was nervous but hopes it will benefit the world around him. “The reason why I am taking the vaccine so that I can do my part,” he said.

Chagrin Falls Intermediate School Encore teachers Mrs. Heidi Stapulionis (Spanish) and Mrs. Kristy Boss (Art) were very excited to receive the vaccine. Boss said she “hopes that by taking the vaccine it will benefit the world around her and her family.”

Mrs. Kathy Ohlrich, 6th grade advanced math teacher, is very excited. She wants to do her part by taking the vaccine. She wanted to make sure that her students were safe and secure.

The events ran smoothly, and many educators commented on how comfortable the process was.
